Genus Prosoponoides Millidge & Russell-Smith, 1992 View in CoL View at ENA

Type species: Prosoponoides hamatum Millidge & Russell-Smith, 1992 View in CoL

Diagnosis: Prosoponoides species are very similar to Ketambea Millidge & Russell-Smith, 1992 in having a small paracymbium, filiform embolus in male palp, atrium with septum in female epigynum. The male of Prosoponoides can be distinguished from Ketambea by the second membrane which is situated on the lamella in Prosoponoides , but absent in Ketambea . Female of Prosoponoides can be distinguished from that of Ketambea by the highly cuticularized parmula which is absent in Ketambea ( Figs 1–8 View FIGURE 1 View FIGURE 2 View FIGURE 3 View FIGURE 4 View FIGURE 5 View FIGURE 6 View FIGURE 7 View FIGURE 8 ) ( Li, Liu & Chen, 2018). Prosoponoides species are also very similar to Kenocymbium Millidge & Russell-Smith, 1992 , but can be distinguished from the latter by the presence of a small paracymbium (absent in Kenocymbium ), the tube-shaped spermathecae (unlike the spermathecae of Kenocymbium ) ( Figs 1–8 View FIGURE 1 View FIGURE 2 View FIGURE 3 View FIGURE 4 View FIGURE 5 View FIGURE 6 View FIGURE 7 View FIGURE 8 ) ( Millidge & Russell-Smith, 1992).

Distribution: Borneo, China, Sumatra, Thailand, Vietnam.
