Stonychophora hainanensis Bian & Shi, 2016 View in CoL . Zootaxa, 4109 (1): 057–058.

Description. Male. Body medium sized. The vertex of head divided into two flat, plate-like processes separated by a deep furrow, the paired processes apically separated, at basal portion compressed. Lateral ocelli oblong, almost occupying the basal surface of tubercles, median ocellus oval. Anterior margin of pronotum almost truncate, posterior margin bluntly rounded. Lateral lobes with ventral margins slightly convex. Legs thick and strong, fore femur almost equal to the pronotum, beneath unarmed, internal genicular lobe with 1 elongate movable spur; fore tibiae beneath with 1 internal spur, 2 external spurs and 2 apical spurs. Mid femora with 1 elongate movable spur on both internal and external genicular lobes; mid tibiae with 2 external spurs, 0 internal spurs, 2 apical spurs beneath, with 2 external spurs, 2 internal spurs and 2 apical spurs above. Hind femora without spines, hind tibiae above with 19–21 internal and external spines on each side, arrange sparsely. Supra inner-apical spur of hind tibiae longer than hind metatarsus. Hind metatarsus above with 5 small spines and 1 apical spine. 5 th abdominal tergite with a small rounded process, 6 th abdominal tergite with a large process, apex slightly concave ( Figs. 1–2 View FIGURES 1–3 ).

Female. Subgenital plate nearly triangular, narrowing from base to apex and apex acute ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–3 ).

Coloration. Body dark brown. Legs and sternum yellowish, hind femora with light stripes.

Measurements. (length in mm) Body ♂ 16.0, ♀ 16.0–18.0; pronotum ♂ 8.0, ♀ 8.5; fore femora ♂ 9.5, ♀ 8.5; hind femora ♂ 23.0, ♀ 21.0; hind tibiae ♂ 22.0, ♀ 21.0; hind metatarsus ♂ 5.0; ovipositor 16.0.

Specimens studied. 1♂, 2♀♀, Mingfenggu , Jianfengling, Ledong, Hainan, China, alt. 950–1100m, 2017-IV- 26 ~28, collected by Liu, Wang, Qin & Jiang.

Distribution. China (Hainan: Bawangling*; Jianfengling). ‘*’ denotes the type locality.

Discussion. After examining our materials and comparison with Stonychophora hainanensis Bian & Shi, 2016 , we conclude that our specimens should be regarded as Stonychophora hainanensis . But the most important thing to be emphasized, characters of specimens described by Bian & Shi, 2016 as follows: 6 th abdominal tergite with an obtusely rounded median process; 7 th abdominal tergite with long and wide median lobe, which posterior margin slightly concave in middle. Our specimens bear the following characters: 5 th abdominal tergite with 1 small rounded process, 6 th abdominal tergite with 1 large process, apex slightly concave. Features of the two processes we examined are very similar to description of Bian & Shi, (2016). We think all materials examined by both of us maybe a single species, just the order of process of abdominal tergite needs to be confirmed. We contacted Professor Shi and he agrees with our conclusions. Here we transfer the species from Stonychophora as a new combination in a new genus, Sinorhaphidophora gen. nov..
