Type material. Holotype ♂, PHILIPPINES: Mt. Mckinley, Mindanao , Davao Province, 3000 ft., 14.ix.1946, coll. H. Hoogstraal, genitalia slide no. 5790 ( FMNH, Chicago) [examined].

Paratypes: 2 ♂, 13, 25.ix.1946, genitalia slide no. 5760 ( FMNH, Chicago) [examined] .

Distribution. Philippines.

Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. percnaula Meyrick in the male genitalia, but the adult is larger than that of the latter species, and the forewing lacks distinct markings.
