TYPE LOCALITY: “ in collibus ditionis parmensis … in Etruria … in Pedemontio [Parmese hills … Etruria (= Tuscany) … Piedmont ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, lectotype ( MZUF: Box 29): Sapromyza Fall. / tinctiventris Rndn. / 1555 / Lectotypus Minettia tinctiventris (Rondani, 1868) , des. by L. Papp, 1981.

PARALECTOTYPES EXAMINED: 1 ♂ (abdomen in a microvial on a separate pin next to the specimen), 1 ♀ ( MZUF: Box 29): Sapromyza Fall. / tinctiventris Rndn. / 1555 / Paralectotypus Minettia tinctiventris (Rondani, 1868) , des. by L. Papp, 1981.

CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Minettia tinctiventris View in CoL ( Papp 1984a: 202, Nartshuk et al. 1995: 5); junior synonym of Minettia suillorum ( Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830) ( Ebejer 2019: 45) View in CoL .

REMARKS: Rondani (1868c: 242) described Sapromyza tinctiventris , without specifying the number , the sex or the length of the specimens, from material he had collected and also received from F.M. Piccioli, P. Strobel, A. Garbiglietti and L. Bellardi. Papp (1981: 173) designated a lectotype (♂) and paralectotypes (1 ♂, 1 ♀) but did not mention an additional four specimens in the MRSN (all are paralectotypes).
