Recognition. Linogeraeus laevirostris is a large-sized, 4.4–5.8 mm long species with indistinctly vittate elytra ( Fig. 41 View Figs ). Some species in Centrinites Casey and Centrinopus Casey have a similar color pattern, but are much smaller and have mandibles with a secondary tooth.

Distribution. The species has been found in the Great Plains ( Fig. 78 View Figs ).

Type locality. Missouri .

Total 71 specimens.

Temporal occurrence. May to June.
