Medetera freyi Thuneberg, 1955

Material examined. Bohemia: Železná (6341), Farský potok (stream) env., 49°35′53″N 12°34′40″E, 500 m, Populus , 5.vi.2021, 1 ♁ ( MCH) . Domažlice (6543), 49°25′57″N 12°54′22″E, 445 m, Populus , 9.x.2020, 1 ♁ ( MCH) .

Distribution. Finland, Great Britain, Norway, Russia ( Negrobov & Naglis 2016), Sweden ( Persson et al. 2019) and Czech Republic (present paper).

Status in CZ. The first records are given herein.

Ecology. Both localities are sunny forest margins, with sparse growth of poplars ( Populus tremula ), where it was found exclusively on trunks ( Fig. 4 ), together with M. incrassata , M. inspissata and M. feminina .
