Leucophenga (Leucophenga) angusta Okada, 1956: 28 View in CoL ; Gupta & Panigrahy, 1987: 62; Okada, 1989: 807; Fartyal et al., 2005: 411.

Diagnosis. This species is mostly similar to L. striatipennis in the abdominal tergites dark brown to black ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 A, 4M), but can be distinguished from the latter by wing hyaline, and aedeagus slender and pubescent apically ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 B), see under that species.

Description. Male and female: Frons yellow. Pedicel mostly yellowish brown; first flagellomere yellow. Palpus brown in male and female. Mesonotum brownish yellow, brown before scutellum ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2. A, B E). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 14–16 irregular rows ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2. A, B E). Scutellum brownish yellow medially, brown along margin ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2. A, B E). Pleura brownish above, yellow below ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2. A, B F). Halter brown, with yellowish patch apically ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2. A, B F). Abdominal tergites usually black, laterally with yellow parches on 2nd ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 A), sometimes yellow, with dark brown patches ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 B, 4C). Male terminalia: Epandrium with 3 setae near posterior margin and 4 setae on ventral corner per side ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 B). Paramere with 5 sensilla distally ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 C).
