Imparipes (Imparipes) histricinus Berlese, 1903

World distribution. Italy, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Brazil, Angola, Austria, Tunisia, Mongolia, Australia, Ukraine, Russia and Iran (Razavi Khorasan and Ardabil Provinces), collected from nests of ants; mainly phoretic on Tetramorium caespitum L. and Messor sp. ( Khaustov 2008; Loghmani et al. 2014; Khaustov & Tolstikov 2016; Sobhi et al. 2017).

Material examined. Eight specimens were extracted from a vial containing 25 specimens of Lasius spp. ants collected by a light trap from Alangdareh Forest Park , Gorgan, Golestan Province, Northern Iran, 36.46°N, 54.26°E, altitude 420 m., coll. V. Rahiminejad, 24 June 2021 GoogleMaps .

Remarks. This is the first record of phoretic association between the mite and ants of the genus Lasius . Also, this species is recorded from northern Iran for the first time.
