Figs 22–24 View FIGURES 17–24 , 30–33 View FIGURES 30–33 , 36, 39, 42 View FIGURES 34–42 .

Diagnosis. Antennal scrobes join below frontal suture ( Fig. 30 View FIGURES 30–33 ); female flagellomeres long and slender ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 17–24 ), e.g. 1 st flagellomere 3.3× as long as wide; forewing speculum open below; scutellum convex ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 30–33 ); propodeum with anterolateral foveae predominantly smooth ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 34–42 ); female gaster with first tergite with elongate punctures ( Fig. 42 View FIGURES 34–42 ), reaching over posterior ¾ of tergite. Similar to H. butcheri but differs in having anterolateral foveae on propodeum predominantly smooth ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 34–42 ), and first gastral tergite with elongate punctures in posterior ¾ ( Fig. 42 View FIGURES 34–42 ).

Description. FEMALE. Length 2.0– 2.5 mm. Scape yellowish-brown with apical ⅓ dark brown with metallic tinges; pedicel and flagellum golden-green. Frons golden-green. Vertex golden-green. Mesosoma golden-green, propodeum with smooth parts golden-green, reticulate parts metallic dark purple. Coxae golden-green; femora and tibiae yellowish-white, tarsi yellowish-white with 4 th segment yellowish-brown. Wings hyaline. Petiole metallic dark purple. Gaster with first tergite golden-green in anterior ¼, metallic dark purple in posterior ¾; remaining tergites metallic dark purple.

Antenna as in Fig. 24 View FIGURES 17–24 . Frons with interscrobal and clypeal area smooth, part just above frontal suture with raised and weak reticulation, remaining parts with raised and strong reticulation; frontal suture V-shaped, incomplete not reaching eyes; antennal scrobes join below frontal suture. Vertex with engraved and strong reticulation; with a median groove in posterior part, groove continues down on occiput. Occipital margin rounded.

Mesoscutum with raised and strong reticulation; notauli as narrow and distinct grooves medially. Scutellum with engraved and strong reticulation. Dorsellum smooth, anterolaterally with two large foveae. Coxae very weakly reticulate and shiny. Propodeum, including anterolateral foveae smooth and shiny, posterolateral parts and submedian grooves reticulate; propodeal callus with two setae. Forewing speculum open below; with 17–18 admarginal setae.

Gaster with first tergite smooth and shiny in anterior ⅓, posterior ¾ with elongate punctures.

MALE. Unknown.

Distribution. Mexico.

Hosts. Acanthoscelides sp. ( Coleoptera : Chrysomelidae : Bruchinae) on Phaseolus coccineus (Fabaceae) .

Type material. Holotype female labelled “ MEXICO, Morelos, Tepoztlan , 99°07'08.5''W, 18°59'54.6''N, 1915 m, 6.i.2008, S. Kenyon ”, “From Acanthoscelides sp. on Phaseolus coccineus ”, in MZLU GoogleMaps . Paratypes. 2♀ mounted on cards (in MZLU). MEXICO. Morelos: from same locality and same host as holotype but collected 25.1.2008 (1♀); Tepoztlan , 99°07'08.1''W 18°59'50.7''N, 1908 m, 6.i.2008, S. Kenyon, from Acanthoscelides sp. on Phaseolus coccineus (1♀) GoogleMaps .

Etymology. From the Latin multus = much, and stria = furrow, referring to the elongate punctures on 1 st gastral tergite in female.

Molecular data. Horismenus multistriatus equals “HB1” in Kenyon et al. (2015) and molecular data associated with “HB1” is accounted for in that paper.
