Mémoires de l’Institut scientifique de Madagascar, série B, Biologie végétale 5: 154, figs 40, 42 (1954). — Type: “Jardin de Tsimbazaza nº 5, plante récoltée par Poisson sur le plateau Horombe”, integrated in the herbarium as Leandri 2409 (lecto-, P! [ P00078001 ], here designated) .

REMARK

Ursch & Leandri based this name on two plants cultivated in the Jardin botanique de Tsimbazaza under numbers 5 and 35, Horombe, the first one being collected by Dr Poisson, the second one brought by an unknown collector. A herbarium specimen exists at P from the plant number 5, but a specimen corresponding to the second plant, number 35, cannot be found. We thus chose to lectotypify on the sole original specimen left at P.
