Description of Female. Fully winged; length 4.4–6.4 mm. Head black, except mandible, clypeus and anterior region of face testaceous; antenna testaceous; mesosoma black, except lateral margins and posterior collar of pronotum testaceous; metasoma black; legs testaceous. Antenna clavate; antennal segments in following proportions: 20:7:37:19:17:15:12:11:9:12. Head ( Plate 84A View PLATE 84 ) slightly excavated, granulated, with some longitudinal keels on face; ventral side of head strongly striate; frontal line complete; occipital carina complete; temple distinct; posterior ocelli not touching occipital carina; POL = 8; OL = 4; OOL = 10; OPL = 3; TL = 3. Pronotum granulated, with longitudinal striae around disc and on posterior collar; pronotum crossed by two transverse impressions; disc humped; posterior collar longer than anterior one. Scutum dull, granulated, with some areolae near posterior margin. Notauli incomplete, reaching about 0.75 length of scutum. Scutellum granulated. Metanotum reticulate rugose. Propodeum reticulate-rugose, with two hardly distinct longitudinal keels on dorsal surface. Fore wing with three dark transverse bands. Hindwing hyaline. Protarsal segment 1 slightly longer than segment 4 (28:25). Enlarged claw not spatulate ( Plate 84C View PLATE 84 ), with one subapical tooth and one row of 12 lamellae. Segment 5 of protarsus ( Plate 84C View PLATE 84 ) with two rows of about 29 lamellae; distal apex with about 12 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Description of Male. Fully winged; length 2.2–3.3 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous; antenna brown, except segments 1–3 testaceous; mesosoma and metasoma black; legs testaceous, except coxae partly black. Antenna filiform; antennal segments in following proportions: 7:8:22:15:16:14:12:12:12:13. Head completely reticulate rugose; frontal line complete; occipital carina complete, forming strong corner behind ocellar triangle; POL = 10; OL= 3; OOL = 6; OPL = 2; TL = 2; OPL shorter than greatest breadth of posterior ocelli (2:3). Scutum reticulate rugose. Notauli complete, posteriorly separated. Scutellum reticulate rugose. Metanotum smooth, unsculptured. Propodeum reticulate rugose, with transverse keel between dorsal and posterior surface. Fore wing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of stigmal vein longer than proximal part (16:13). Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Material examined. Types: holotype ♀: INDIA: Uttar Pradesh, Parvasanagar , 14.VII.1978, ex nymph of Pyrilla, R.B. Jadhav leg. ( BMNH) . Paratypes (13): INDIA: Gujarat, Navsari, 10.XI.1977, ex Pyrilla , 3♀♀ and 1♂ ( BMNH) ; further paratypes ( AMNH, GCC) ; Maharashtra, Ravalgaon , 19.VIII.1982, on sugarcane leaf, 1♀ ( BMNH) ; Uttar Pradesh, Parvasanagar , 19.V.1978, 1♂ ( BMNH) ; same locality label, further paratypes ( AMNH) .

Hosts. Lophopidae (Gugliemino & Olmi, 1997) : in India: Pyrilla sp. ( Olmi, 1986) .

Distribution. India (Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh).
