Syntypes in MNHN [in Jeannel, 1936, sex and number of specimens not given, but referring to “specimens” in plural form; Portevin, 1921 also refers to “cotypes”; a female [not seen], in Peck & Cook, 2017].

Type locality: Caracas, [Distrito Capital, Venezuela].

Distribution: Costa Rica: Puntarenas Province; Peru: Cuzco Department; Venezuela: Distrito Capital.

Note 1: Considering the synonymic list in Jeannel, 1936: 152, it seems that the record in Portevin, 1921: 535 is a misidentification of D. curtus Portevin [1903] ,

Note 2: The record in Salgado, 2002a: 253 ( Ecuador: Cotopaxi Province: Otonga) is a misidentification of D. sokolowski Szymczakowski [1961] ( Salgado, 2014b: 97) .
