Distribution: Taiwan.

Remarks: Insufficiently described from Taiwan ( Verhoeff 1936), even though revised by Shear (1999), this species still remains an enigma. As the type material contains only a single small fragment of the male gonopod ( Shear 1999), the only solution to resolve its status and identity seems to lie in finding topotypes which would match the original description. Unfortunately, no type locality more precise than “ Formosa ” is available. Furthermore, Verhoeff (1936) himself admitted a mistake in this locality on the label.
