Known from the Palaearctic Region. The record from Cameroon (Laros) is probably caused by mislabelling. The locality Laros doesn’t exist in Cameroon. We consider Chrysis grohmanni DAHLBOM 1854 (restricted to the western Mediterranean area) and Chrysis chloropyga BISCHOFF as different species.
