Type locality. Posadas , Misiones Province, Argentina .

Distribution. Known from southern South America, in Argentina and Brazil ( Plt. 318A View Plate 318 ). In Brazil, recorded in the Pampas Grasslands ( Plt. 318A View Plate 318 ) at low elevations ( Plt. 253B View Plate 253 ). Observed in the field in urban areas within a matrix of seasonal subtropical forest and grassland ( Giraudo and Scrocchi, 1998).
