Type locality. Sierra Leone (type Ƥ examined: abdomen missing).

Distribution. Chad. Sierra Leone. Ghana. Togo (Strand, 1912, 1912 a). Nigeria, Lagos; Old Calabar. Cameroun. Gabon, Ogové River ( Hampson, 1900). Uganda. Angola, Quirimbo. Rep. of South Africa. Material examined. Sierra Leone: type Ƥ in BMNH. Nigeria: Ƥ Arct. g.sl. n. 5753 BMNH. Camerun: Ƥ Arct. g.sl. 5754 BMNH. Uganda: Ƥ Arct. g.sl. 5844 BMNH.

Diagnosis. Forewing bands less distinct and larger than in indecisa ; ductus bursae with sclerotized bundles ending anteriorly in a tree-like shape, unlike indecisa .

Description. Forewings margins rounded, notably the termen; sharpness of the band corners not accentuated, median band large (compared to indecisa ). Venation typical, with hindwing M3 free. Abdomen with small pouches between A6 and A7; A7 and A8 membranous. Female pheromone dorsal glands longer than posterior apophyses. Corpus bursae sub-spherical with small thorns on right side; one signum dimpleshaped, the other large, irregularly shaped, with thorns. The cervix bursae elongates on the left of the ductus bursae. Antrum cylindrical, membranous. Ductus bursae with sclerotized bundles anteriorly, some thorns at junction with the bursa.
