Peruzzi):— ITALY. Panormi in pascuis, 1809, s.coll. [manu A. Bivona-Bernardi] s.n. (PAL98518). Epitype (designated here by G. Domina & L. Peruzzi):— ITALY. In herbosis apricis - Palermo alla Guadagna, April, A. Todaro 1565 (PAL4307, iso-epitypes: PAL4308, PAL4309). Note:—The protologue publication lacks pagination. Stankevich in Stankevich & Repjev (1999: 248) indicated a specimen from Algeria as ‘type’ [ Alger, Hippone, s.d., V. Reboud 761 (FI)], but this specimen is not original material and should be considered as a neotype, superseded by the lectotype designated here. The lectotype is lacking fruits and shows only a couple of small flowers; for this reason we designate here a supporting epitype collected in the same area, which shows flowers and fruits at different developmental stages.
