Asia: Cyprus, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Syria ( Ziani & Bezděk 2016).

Remarks. First record for Oman. Kabakov (2006) included O. sellatus in the subgenus Furconthophagus . Two years later Zunino & Halffter (2008) uncritically quoted Kabakov’s nomenclatural act but apparently confirmed it. The same subgeneric placement is tentatively followed in this paper.
