Holotype, male, pinned:

Specimen data: “P. of Spain 27 | 1 | 21 ” [Handwritten (by Lamont)]. “Lamont Collection 1950 - 16 ” [Printed] with a label with “ TYPE ” [Handwritten in red ink], glued to it. “ Hydrias albiochrea Kaye ” [Handwritten Lamont cabinet label].

Remarks: The holotype was collected at Port of Spain, Trinidad, 27 January 1921, by Sir. N. Lamont; this is that specimen. A colour illustration of the holotype is given in Pl. I: fig. 14 ( Kaye 1922, Kaye & Lamont 1927).
