DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Malawi, Republic of Congo, Sao Tome & Principe, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants for the taxon include: one Fabaceae species ( Acacia auriculiformis Benth. ), two Euphorbiaceae species ( Antidesma membranaceum M̧ll.Arg. and Ricinodendron heudelotii (Baill.)

Heckel), two Moraceae species ( Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam. and Milicia excelsa (Welw.) C.C.Berg ), one Myrtaceae species ( Psidium guajava L.), one Combretaceae species ( Terminalia superba Engl. & Diels ), one Ulmaceae species ( Trema orientalis (L.) Blume), and one Lamiaceae species ( Vitex madiensis Oliv. ) in the Democratic Republic of Congo ( Latham, 2003; Latham & Konda ku Mbuta 2014); two Anacardiaceae species ( Anacardium occidentale L. and Spondias lutea L.), one Euphorbiaceae species ( Jatropha curcas L.) and one Sterculiaceae species ( Theobroma cacao L.) in Guinea ( Rougeot 1962); one Moraceae species ( Milicia excelsa (Welw.) C.C.Berg ) and one Meliaceae species ( Khaya anthotheca (Welw.) C.DC. ) in Uganda ( Gardner 1957); one Euphorbiaceae species ( Croton mubango M̧ll.Arg.) in Angola ( Lautenschläger et al. 2017) ; one Sterculiaceae species ( Theobroma cacao L.) in Ghana and Nigeria ( Wagner et al. 2008); and two Anacardiaceae species ( Anacardium sp. and Spondias sp. ), one Fabaceae species ( Bauhinia petersiana Bolle ), one Moraceae species ( Chlorophora sp. ), one Apocynaceae species ( Diplorhynchus condylocarpon (M̧ll.Arg.) Pichon), two Myrtaceae species ( Psidium guajava L. and Eugenia sp. ), one Meliaceae species ( Khaya sp. ) and two Euphorbiaceae species ( Vernicia fordii (Hemsl.) Airy Shaw and V. montana Lour. ) in unnamed African countries ( Rougeot 1960, 1962a; Pinhey 1972b). No specific larval foodplants have been reported for Zambia.
