COMMON NAME (S): Black Lined Eggar.

SYNONYM(S): None.

IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).

DISTRIBUTION: Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Central Zambia [Latitude, - 12.55529 S; Longitude, 30.29519 E], in Central Province GoogleMaps ; Mid Luangwa valley in Eastern Province ; Kalomo in Southern Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include Albizzia antunesiana Harms (Fabaceae) , in Zimbabwe; a Brachystegia sp. (Caesalpiniaceae) , Cassia sp. (Fabaceae) and another Albizzia sp. (Fabaceae) elsewhere in Africa though no plant species specifically named as host plant of the taxon in Zambia. The African Moths (2019) webpage lists the following as larval foodplants of the taxon: four Fabaceae species namely, Albizzia antunesiana Harms , Brachystegia spiciformis Benth. , Senna singueana (Delile) Lock and Cassia sp. ; one Combretaceae species, Combretum apiculatum Sond. and one Meliaceae species, Ekebergia capensis Sparrm ..
