Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 11437 (1 specimen, 14.2 mm SL, St. KR 3, east of Usien Island, Kavieng District , 02°38.142’S 150°46.401’E, 11 m depth, 3 June 2014).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: East Africa and Oman east to Pohnpei ( Caroline Islands) and New Guinea, north to Philippines. Commensal with sponges, 10–30 m depth. Marine.
