Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen photographed at Lissenung Island by Dietmar Amon on 23 July 2006, 14 June 2008 and 9 Aug. 2009.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Eastern Indonesia east to Solomon Islands, north to Philippines. Found on coastal and seaward reef slopes, 11–40 m depth. Marine.
