Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 11405 (1 male, 12.5 mm SL, St. KD 16, north of Manne Island, Kavieng District   GoogleMaps , 02°42.068’S 150°39.433’E, 6–10 m depth, silty sand bottom, 11 June 2014), NTUM 11441 (1 male, 12.5 mm SL, St. KS 17, east of Nago Island, Kavieng District , 02°36.154’S 150°46.307’E, 3 m depth, sand and sparse seagrass, 6 June 2014) GoogleMaps , and NTUM 11431 (1 male, 22.3 mm SL, St. KR 28, east of Nago Island, Kavieng District , 02°36.154’S 150°46.30’E, 2–9 m depth, fine sand and silt, 6 June 2014) GoogleMaps .

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Madang Lagoon ( Papua New Guinea). Found on silty sand bottoms in the lagoon, 2–10 m depth. Marine.

Remarks. This not just represents a new distribution record, but also provides habitat information for this rare species for the first time.
