Status at New Ireland. New record , based on NTUM 11345 (1 specimen, 232.0 mm SL, St. DW 4496-15, northwest of New Hanover ).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Philippines and Papua New Guinea. Sand bottoms, 200–300 m depth. Marine.
