Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen observed at Bauddisson Island, Kavieng District , 1–50 m depth, St. T 4, on 31 Oct. 2006, by Gerald R. Allen.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Marshall Islands and Solomon Islands, south to northern Australia and Vanuatu. Associated with gorgonian sea fans, 12–70 m depth. Marine.
