Remarks. This species is listed by Coad (1981: 14) as Noemacheilus (Deuterophysa) dorsalis as a possible distributed species in Amu Darya tributaries in Afghanistan. However, it is distributed in the mountains in Kafirnigan. The presence of the species needs clarification.
