Global distribution: NT.

Argentinian distribution: Río Negro.

Ecology: This species was observed in stagnant waters. It was recorded in environments located from 59 to 909 m a.s.l., with mean annual temperature of 15ºC, wide electrical conductivity range (525–7090 μS/cm), high dissolved oxygen concentrations and sediments rich in organic matter.
