TYPE MATERIAL. — Holotype (dd) MNHN 20117 and 3 paratypes (dd) MNHN 20118-20119 .

TYPE LOCALITY.— East of New Caledonia, Touho Channel, 20°43’S, 165°08’E, 11 m [EXPÉDITION MONTROUZIER:

stn 1255].

MATERIAL EXAMINED. — New Caledonia proper. Touho. (1 paratype MNHN 20118 ); stn 1270, Grand Récif Mangalia , EXPÉDITION MONTROUZIER: stn 1255, 20°43’S, 165°08’E, 24°45’S, 165°16.5’E, 10-35 m, 4 dd (2 paratypes MNHN 11 m, 1 dd (holotype MNHN 20117 ); stn 1261, Chenal de 20119) .

Touho, 20°46’- 20°47’S, 165°15’- 165°15.5’E, 45-56 m, 2 dd

DISTRIBUTION. — East coast of New Caledonia: Touho and Grand Récif Mangalia, shells in 11-45 m.

DESCRIPTION. — Shell up to 8.4 mm long, regularly curved except close to the mouth, where there is a slight bulge. Shiny, translucent (except at bulge area) white. Maximum diameter at bulge, narrowing from bulge to peristome. Growth lines pronounced. Apex slightly dorsoventrally compressed, with ventral and dorsal lobes, the ventral one larger than the dorsal one, sharp with a small protuberance at edge on internal wall. Preapical callus thin, lumen subcircular. Mouth dorsoventrally compressed.

Measurements of holotype: L 8.4, W 1.3, mouth 0.9, w 0.5, arc 0.7.

REMARKS. — This species differs from the other four Dischides species in the area by its general shape, and especially

by the lack of the bulge at the mouth area.

ETYMOLOGY. — Named after Father Montrouzier, a pioneer student of the fauna and flora of New Caledonia in the second half of the 19th century, and for whom Expédition Montrouzier was named.
