Type material. Holotype male, GUANGXI: Mao’ershan, Sanjiangyuan (1900m), 30. VI. 2003, X. Liu ( CAU, Beijing) . Paratype male, Mao’ershan, Sanjiangyuan (1900m), 30. VI. 2003, Sh. An ( CAU, Beijing) .

Etymology. The specific epithet derives from the type locality Sanjianyuan (Guangxi).

Comments. This new species is similar to Chrysotimus yunlonganus Yang and Saigusa from Yunnan, but may be separated from the latter by hind tarsomere 1 with 5 sparse erect short black ventral bristles on basal 1/4 and row of 7–8 pv, and furcated surstylus. In C. yunlonganus , the hind tarsomere 1 has 8 short black ventral bristles on basal 1/4, and no row of pv; and the surstylus is not furcated apically ( Yang and Saigusa, 2001b).

Distribution. Guangxi.
