This small family comprises 29 species belonging to 13 genera. Only one species, Amarucoptes busannae Haitlinger, 2001 , has been found on an unidentified Passalidae ( Haitlinger 2001b; Beron 2021) ( Tables 2 View Table 2 , 4 and 7 View Table 7 ). Passalidae are accidental hosts for Heterocoptidae .
