Type material. Hersilia sumatrana . Holotype ♀, Sumatra, Sibolga, Modigliani, 8.IV.1886, deposited in Museo Civico Storia Naturale G. Doria, Genova, Italy, not examined.
Other material examined. H. yunnanensis . Holotype ♀ (IZCAS-Ar9015), China, Yunnan Province, Ruili City , 14.VIII.1987, Xinping Wang leg. Two paratype females of Hersilia yunnanensis are deposited in Shaanxi Normal University .
