Distribution. Introduced. Nearctic, Neotropical; Galápagos: Isabela, San Cristóbal.
Remarks. Larvae of this species were collected in El Junco lake ( San Cristóbal) ( Ferrington & Pehofer 1994). Considered an introduced species in Hawaii ( Englund 2002).
