Distribution.

Known from Gunung Pondok and Kinta Valley only ( Maassen 2001).

Remarks.

Shell sinistral. Shell vary greatly in height and width, rib density, rib height and aperture thickness within and between populations. Consistent features are keeled periphery and whorl shape. After examining large samples from our study sites, we conclude that it is not possible to separate Diplommatina superba superba from Diplommatina superba brevior Laidlaw, 1949.
