Sysinas centralis Distant, 1893: 249 View in CoL (orig. descrip.); Ferreira et al., 2007: 45 View Cited Treatment (descrip., distr., host).
Diagnosis. General color yellow, with dark regions. Head, pronotum, sternum and legs luteous. Eyes, antennae, and a large longitudinal stripe on disc that reaches the central area of head and clypeus (in some exemplars, the size of stripe varies or is lacking) black. Scutellum, clavus, corium, inner margin of cuneus, and veins fuscous. Embolium yellow. Length 4.35–4.75 mm
Host. Sapium sp. ( Euphorbiaceae ) ( Ferreira et al., 2007).
Distribution. Guatemala (Carvalho, 1957) and Cuba, Brazil (Amapá, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Pará, and Santa Catarina), and Jamaica ( Ferreira et al., 2007).
Minas Gerais specimens examined. 2 ΨΨ, Viçosa, 6-44, J. C. M. Carvalho ( MNRJ); 1 Ψ, Viçosa, 1947, J. C. M. Carvalho ( MNRJ).
