Hemanthias peruanus (Steindachner, 1875) .

Rose Threadfin Bass or Splittail Bass. To 45 cm (17.7 in) TL (Heemstra in Fischer et al. 1995). Hippolito Bank (27°N), southern Baja California (Watson in Moser 1996) to Chile ( Pequeño 1989), including Gulf of California (Heemstra in Fischer et al. 1995) and probably Islas Galápagos ( Grove and Lavenberg 1997).
