Comments. Brasilocaenis irmleri it is easily distinguished by the very long styliger plate with posterior margin rounded, forceps enlarged near base narrowing toward the apex, and fused to lateral margins of the styliger plate (adapted from Puthz 1975). This species is related to the group of South American Caeninae with apically pointed forceps. The specimens collected in the State of Rondônia did not show any morphological variation when compared to the original description of B. irmleri .
