Redescription. Male. Fully winged; usual length 2.2–4.3 mm (in specimen from Canary Islands length 1.3 mm). Head black or brown, except clypeus and mandible testaceous; antenna testaceous or testaceous-brown; mesosoma testaceous-brown (in two small paratypes from Mt. Tachibanyama), or with prothorax and scutum brown, scutellum and metanotum testaceous-brown, propodeum black (in holotype and large paratype from Omogo Valley); metasoma brown or testaceous; legs testaceous. Antennae filiform, not geniculated, not thickened distally, without rhinaria, articulated to prominent contiguous processes; antennal toruli very far from upper margin of clypeus; antennal segments in following proportions: 10:3:32:31:30:28:26:25:23:24. Head shiny, smooth, very finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures, covered with fine short hairs; dorsal side of head swollen; occipital carina complete; ocelli distinct; POL = 3; OL = 2,5; OOL = 7; OPL = 8; TL = 13; face with track of median furrow, only present in front of anterior ocellus and near antennal toruli; eye large, much shorter than head (13:29); region of face from clypeus to antennal toruli with two complete longitudinal and median sutures much nearer antennal sockets than clypeus. Maxillary palpi with six segments; labial palpi with two-three segments. Pronotum very short, partly hidden behind occiput, with complete median longitudinal furrow; pronotal tubercle reaching tegula. Scutum and scutellum shiny, smooth, finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures, covered with fine short hairs. Notauli incomplete, reaching approximately 0.2 × length of scutum. Metanotum very short, medially rugose. Propodeum rugose, dull, without longitudinal or transverse keels. Meso- and metapleuron shiny, smooth, unsculptured or finely punctuate. Fore wing hyaline or weakly darkened, without dark transverse bands, with four cells fully enclosed by pigmented veins (CC, BC, SBC, 1DC); marginal cell open. Petiole usually shorter than metatrochanter, occasionally longer (9:8). Proximal membranous process of paramere ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C) with numerous papillae on distal region. Tibial spurs 1/2/2.

China (Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Henan, Hubei, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Zhejiang), Taiwan, Vietnam) ( Xu et al. 2012a; Olmi et al. 2014a).
Remarks. Two paratypes of Embolemus krombeini Olmi from Mangole Island (Sula Islands, Indonesia) designated by Olmi (1996) and deposited in RMNH really belong to E. pecki .

Redescription. Male. Macropterous; length 2.8–3.62 mm. Head brown-black, except clypeus, mandible, part of gena and part of ventral side testaceous; antenna brown-testaceous; mesosoma brown, except prothorax, axillae and lateral regions of scutellum testaceous; metasoma brown; legs testaceous. Antenna filiform, not geniculated, not thickened distally; antennae articulated to prominent contiguous processes; antennal segments in following proportions: 8:2.5:22:20:20:19:17:17:16:18. Head shiny, unsculptured, covered with short hairs, with dorsal side swollen; occipital carina complete; ocelli distinct; POL = 2; OL = 2; OOL = 6; OPL = 5; TL = 6; face without median furrow; eye small, approximately 0.5 × as long as head (11:23); region of head from clypeus to antennal toruli with two longitudinal and median sutures very convergent. Palpal formula 6/3. Pronotum very short, with median longitudinal furrow. Scutum shiny, unsculptured. Notauli incomplete, reaching approximately 0.25 length of scutum. Scutellum shiny, unsculptured. Metanotum shiny, short, transverse, unsculptured. Propodeum dull, reticulate rugose; dorsal surface without median longitudinal keels from anterior margin to posterior surface. Mesopleuron and metapleuron shiny, smooth, unsculptured. Meso-metapleural suture distinct and complete. Fore wing hyaline, completely slightly darkened; 1 SDC cell open. Hind wing hyaline, completely slightly darkened. Proximal membranous process of paramere with many sensorial filaments located on distal and subdistal region, without papillae ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 D). Tibial spurs 1/2/2.
