Titanattus Peckham & Peckham, 1885: 62 (type species by original designation: Titanattus saevus Peckham & Peckham, 1885 ); Pickard-Cambridge 1900; Simon 1901a; Ruiz & Maddison 2015; Maddison 2015; World Spider Catalog 2017. Diagnosis. Among all already-described genera considered as thiodinines by Ruiz & Maddison (2015) and here, Titanattus can be distinguished by a high carapace and clypeus (e.g. Peckham & Peckham 1885: fig. 1A), and typical salticid number of spines on their legs (e.g. patellae p1, r0 or p1, r1; many leg spines are absent in other thiodinines; see discussion below) and a heart-shaped sternum, with no keel ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 ; Peckham & Peckham 1885: fig. 1C).
