Type species: Caecilia squalostoma Stutchbury, 1834 ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ) by original monotypy. Diagnosis: The only herpelids with separate nasals and premaxillae. Distribution: Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria.

Content: Two species ( multiplicata , squalostoma ).
