Genus Stenopsocus Hagen, 1866: 203 View in CoL . Type species: Psocus immaculatus Stephens, 1836: 125 , original designation.
Diagnosis. Wings transparent, with markings on R vein or pterostigma; pterostigma yellowish or colorless. Forewing costal vein with setae from base of anterior margin to pterostigma, all veins with single-row setae, but CuP sometimes lacking single-row setae, and basal membranous part without setae; pterostigma partly thickened or not. Abdomen with segments 8–10 sclerotized or not, but trichobothrial field distinctly sclerotized always. Female spermathecal sac with a lateral pouch connecting to spermathecal duct.
