Diastatops Rambur, 1842

One of the eight species has been found in Ecuador. For identification, refer to Montgomery (1940). The adults are very distinctive, with black wings that usually have red or yellowish veins at the base ( Fig. 90 View FIGURE 90 ). Habitat includes ponds and marshes.
