Very slender, beautifully colored damselflies ( Figs. 36a & 36b View FIGURE 36 ), with at least six species in Ecuador. The synopsis by von Ellenrieder & Garrison (2017) is the main source for identification of Ecuadorian species in addition to the papers by Cowley (1941), Gloyd (1939) and Kennedy (1939c). Habitat includes small, sluggish forested streams, where adults perch mostly in shade.
