Outline: markedly protruding head outline, Medial impression: present, Sculpture elements: rugae, Sculpture aspect: arcuate. Eyes. Size: subequal or larger than width of vertex (dorsal view), Shape: markedly protruding head outline, Lower margin: in line or below antennal socket, Median orbit: subparallel. Antennae. Serration: from antennomere 4. PRONOTUM. Shape: visually elongate or square, Sides: slightly arcuate, Sides (modification): sinuate before posterior angles, Maximal width: at middle, Anterior margin: subequal to posterior. Anterior lobe. Variability. The species is known only from the female holotype. Sexual dimorphism. Females with an elongate ovipositor.

Diagnosis. Agrilus zim sp. nov. is similar to A. mimicus sp. nov. ( Fig. 4A View FIGURES 4 ) by the elongated pronotum, by the strongly arcuate carinal prehumerus, and by the bicolored elytral pubescence. It differs by having the anterior end of the prehumerus joined with the lateral pronotal carina, by the separately subarcuate elytral apices, by the arcuate anterior margin of the sternal lobe, and by the subparallel sternal process.

Type material. Type locality: Malaysia, [Pahang], Benom Mts, 15 km East of Kampong Dong, 3°53' N, 102°01'E, altitude 700 m. Type specimens. Holotype ♀ ( EJCB): “ Malaysia, Benom Mts , 15 km E Kampong Dong, 1.iv.1998, alt. 700 m, 3.53° N, 102.01°E, D. Hauck leg.”. GoogleMaps

Remarks. Coordinates cited on the locality label are stated incorrectly. The proper format is 3°53'N 102°01'E.
