Type species. Damarchus workmani Thorell, 1891 from Singapore, by monotypy .

Species included: D. montanus (Thorell, 1890) , D. workmani Thorell, 1891 , D. oatesi Thorell, 1895 , D. assamensis Hirst, 1909 , D. bifidus Gravely, 1935 , D. cavernicola Abraham, 1924 and D. batuensis (Roewer, 1962) .

Diagnosis: Similar to Atmetochilus and Damarchilus in overall size and shape, but differ from the two by the presence of few cuspules on labium and all pairs of sigilla are weakly pronounced and close to the sternal edge.
