Diagnosis. Mandibles longer than length of clypeus, distinctly cross each other. Clypeus wider than long, usually apically emarginate, sometimes truncate. Cephalic fovea present in depression on vertex of females. Vertex slightly sloping behind ocelli. Anterior vertical face of pronotum has no foveae/transverse striae ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 19 – 24 ). Pronotal carina usually well developed. Mesepisternum with epicnemial carina present. Pretegular carina well developed. Tegula as wide as long, emarginate adjoining parategula, not reaching posterior end of later. Mesoscutum and scutellum extensively punctate, without prescutal furrows. Axillary fossa narrow. Posterior margin of horizontal face of metanotum carinate and dentate (almost precipitous). Propodeal dorsum below plane of metanotum. Propodeal orifice wide dorsally. Superior carina generally well developed. Submarginal carina not produced as pointed/ rounded process above valvula, propodeal valvula not free from submarginal carina posteriorly. Metasoma sessile, T1 almost as broad as T2 and much broader than long. T1 with an apical transparent or translucent apical border ( Fig. 81 View FIGURES 79 – 85 ), also sometime present on T2 and T3. T1 without basal transverse carina. Prestigma shorter than pterostigma. SMC2 basally acute. Mid tibia with one apical spur. Ƌ: F11 hook like, rounded apically; F10, F11 shorter than previous ones; no cavity on inner margin of flagellomeres. Body length usually 10–12 mm.
Distribution. Cosmopolitan. New report from south India.
