Pseudonortonia Giordani Soika 1936: 268 View in CoL . Type species: Odynerus difformis de Saussure, 1853 , by original designation. Senior subjective synonym of Subancistroceroides Blüthgen, 1938 .
Diagnosis. Mandibles moderate, as long as length of clypeus, distinctly cross each other. Clypeus as long as wide, emarginate apically or truncate. Cephalic foveae absent. Vertex sloping behind ocelli. Pronotal carina incomplete, pronotum generally produced at humeral angles. Anterior face of pronotum with foveae coleasced ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 19 – 24 ). Pretegular carina and epicnemial carina present. Tegula as long as wide, sometimes little wider than long, emarginate adjoining parategula and reaches apex of latter. Axillary fossa wide. Metanotum cristate, sometimes faintly. Propodeal dorsum in line with plane of metanotum often bears upper spines just behind metanotum. Propodeal orifice wide dorsally. Submarginal carina projected as pointed process above valvula. Propodeal valvula free from submarginal carina posteriorly. Metasoma not petiolate. T1 long, T2 much wider than T1. T1 with a transverse carina at crest of anterior declivity ( Fig. 53 View FIGURES 48 – 54. 48 ). SMC2 basally acute. Prestigma shorter than pterostigma. Mid tibia with one apical spur. ♂: F11 hook like, rounded apically, shorter than previous one. Body length usually 10–12 mm.
