Megommation Moure, 1943 View in CoL . Type species Halictus insignis Smith, 1853 by monotypy.
Diagnosis (comparative to other Augochlorini genera). Prementum greatly elongate, more than seven times longer than wide; ocelli greatly enlarged, distance between lateral ocellus and compound eye less than one ocellus diameter; pronotal lobes not angled or carinate; basal area of metapostnotum not striate; inner hind tibial spur pectinate, but with short branches; outer surface of metatibia with patch of black setae.
