STATUS AT MADANG. New record from Madang, based on AMS material ( AMS I. 16749 -009). DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. India east to Philippines and New Guinea, north to Taiwan, south to New Caledonia. Found in turbid coastal waters, estuaries and lower reaches of rivers, 1– 55 m. Freshwater, transitinal water and marine.
