TYPE SPECIES. — Turbo plicatus Montagu, 1803 (= Odostomia plicata (Montagu, 1903)) , subsequent designation by Gray (1847). Recent, Europe.

REMARK

Odostomia has been used for including Pyramidellidae with a smooth shell and a columellar tooth ( HØisaeter 2014). Since then, it has included species with these characters that cannot be classified with certainty in other genera of Odostominae. Here, we use it sensu lato.
